Our Beliefs & Values

The Mission of the HCCI is to be a community of perfect love which bears faithful witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit

The Godhead

We believe in one God, the eternal independent and self-existent Being, who is absolute in dominion; the Sovereign of the universe, infinitely good, the most pure, the most spiritual of all beings. God is infinite wisdom; therefore He cannot err or be deceived. The perfections of God’s nature astonish all those who seriously and prayerfully contemplate them, and fill with horror all who would attempt to give His glory to another. He is the sole object of adoration and He should be worshipped with the totality of one’s being in reverence and religious fear.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Godhead; that He was eternally one with the Father, known prior to His incarnation as the Lord of God. He was incarnated by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary, so that He is perfect man. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sings on the cross, was buried and rose again triumphantly the third day for our justification. (Rom 4:25; Acts 13:30).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead; that He is ever present and eternally active in and with the Church of God, convincing the world of sin, transforming the hearts of those who repent and believe. We believe that the: Holy Spirit sanctifies, unifies, guides and prepares believers for effective service for God and for the return of our blessed Lord.

Salvation

Donec ullamcorper nulla non metus auctor fringilla. Duis mollis, est non commodo luctus, nisi erat porttitor ligula, eget lacinia odio sem nec elit. Donec id elit non mi porta gravida at eget metus. Sed posuere consectetur est at lobortis. Donec sed odio dui. Vestibulum id ligula porta felis euismod semper.

The Depravity of the Human Race

We believe in the depravity of the human nature. As a result of Adam’s disobedience to God, he lost the image and likeness of God. He was then invaded and indwelt by the devil. His nature was corrupted and perverted by sin. Hence the whole human race since Adam, was born with a depraved disposition, (with the exception of our Lord Jesus Christ), destitute of spiritual life, is at enmity with God.

“Transformed to Empower the Work, My Walk and My Witness is the outworking of the power of the grace of God which works in our lives at conversion and which continues to enable perfecting us in fullness of life in the Spirit. The biblical imperative of a Godly and righteous life in our contemporary circumstance is a testament to the completeness of the new life in Christ and our partnership with the Holy Spirit. “

– Rev. Dr. Alvin Bailey, Presiding Bishop
